Sprinkling My Good Friend Whit

Hailey, Kim and I hosted a Baby Sprinkle for Whitney at my house on Sunday afternoon. She is expecting her 2nd daughter in November so she needed only a Sprinkle instead of a full shower.

We can't wait for sweet Willa West to get here:)

First Day of the rest of her Life

***Sadly my computer got a virus and I have been without a computer and have failed to blog about a very important day***

On Friday, August 14th my beautiful firstborn started KINDERGARTEN.

I can't believe 5 years have flown by me already. Molly is in all day Kindergarten at Brazos Christian. She went there last year for PreK. I LOVE the school and her teacher. I am so excited to watch her grow and mature over this school year.

She was truly excited about being in Kindergarten and eagerly awaited that first day. I had mixed emotions. On one hand I was ready--ready for routine and to know that she was doing something productive and I didn't have to entertain her all day. On the other hand, it's hard to send your baby off to school. Especially staying home with her these last 5 years, we have spent A LOT of time together and I will certainly miss that. But I know that she is in wonderfully loving and caring hands and that it is all part of life.

So on to the pictures---

My big girl - ready for her big day

Ally--doesn't want her sister to go.

Molly and her AWESOME teacher Mrs. Taylor. We love Mrs. Taylor. But shame on her for that package of Kleenex and first day of Kinder poem that I put away and still haven't read and probably won't until Christmas!!

Full Weekend of Fun

This was our last weekend before school starts so we decided to see what all we could squeeze into it.

Thursday we met my sister-in-law Laura and my nephew Nolan at the Mayborn Mueseum in Waco. The kids all had lots of fun exploring!

Friday we spent the day grocery shopping, cooking and getting ready for my cousin Nicole's baby shower. The shower was Saturday morning and turned out great. Nicole and her husband, Jamey are expecting their first child- a girl on my birthday! I can't wait for Emma Kaye to get here. Nicole is like my sister so it'a almost like I'm gaining a niece!

The girls enjoyed my parent's new home...Molly described it as a hotel!! Thankfully Mimi had everything unpacked and put away-- the girls found some of Mimi's purses and shoes.

Saturday night I went to an old family friend's 30th Birthday Bash in Dallas. We had so much fun we forgot to take pictures:) I got to see some old friends and catch up. Great food- Mexican, Comfort foods, Sushi and dessert! YUM!
Sunday my mom and I surprised Molly with trip to the American Girl Store in Dallas. She has been talking about wanting a doll for a while and I was going to hold off until her 6th birthday in January but decided to it as a starting Kindergarten treat. We ate lunch in the Bistro and she picked out her favorite doll - Chrissa.

Soon to School

Well Kindergarten is just around the corner for Molly. Where have the last 5 years gone? It just doesn't seem possible that my curly haired chunky baby is starting school. Preparing for some tears next Friday on the first day of school.

Last night we had a get together for all the incoming Kindergarteners and PreK kids at Brazos Christian. It was fun getting to see old friends and meet new ones.

As we were leaving I found a few extra kids in my car ready to go:)
