Fall Break 09

Molly's school had to start school a week before everyone else. BUT-- we got an entire week off last week for Fall Break. The four of us went to Waxahachie/Dallas to a few days. We took the girls to Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine for one night for a mini-vacation. We stayed at Mimi and Pops house for a couple of days and were able to squeeze our family photo session in despite the storms.

FYI- Great Wolf Lodge is a family oriented resort type hotel. They have an indoor waterpark that was great for the girls. I highly recommend going. But go off-season during the week. I have friends who have gone during peak season and it's super crowded. There were maybe 20-30 families there total so we had the run of the place!

Molly and Daddy Ripped and Roared down really big slides. Molly came in right at the height requirement of 42"!
Ally was a little under--maybe next year!

A Leap of Faith

I am proud to introduce my husband's new company!

Let's backtrack....Geoff and I moved to BCS 6 years ago. We came for his work--his dream job. He took the job at Traditions. Started selling lots, then houses, then became a broker. Traditions has been so good to us and eventually became our home. Over the course of the last many months, Geoff has had the urge to go out on his own. We have prayerfully considered making this move for quite some time.

So -- a couple of weeks ago, Geoff let Traditions know and here we are. GreenPrint Real Estate is born. He will be a one man show for a while...well with his trusty assistant (me!) by his side. He is working from home for a while until a suitable office space is found.

This is super scary, but super exciting. God has already showed us amazing things in the last couple of weeks. We could really use your prayers as we start this journey. Oh, and we could use your business as well. Geoff is no longer restricted to Traditions and will now be working throughout the Bryan/College Station area. So let us know if you are buying or selling real estate!!

Am I a Runner?

Just wanted to update all my faithful readers, all 2 of you about my running and training.

The 1/2 Marathon is 2 months from today. Training is going well. I am still running 3 days a week. My long run (which is tomorrow) is up to 6 miles. My short runs are now at 4 miles.

I enjoy running. Sometimes when driving down an open road, my legs ache to get out and run. Is that weird? Some days running is very easy. I'll hit my stride and finish my run with little effort. Other days, it is difficult and I struggle to the end. I like taking the time to enjoy my music and clear my head.

So far, thankfully, no injuries. So I ask myself, Am I a real Runner now? I think I am!

I will continue to update as the race gets closer.

Hebrews 12:1 - ...and let us run with endurance the race that is before us.

Breakfast, Boats and Buddies

The Kindergarten classes at Molly's school did something really fun this week. Each child was to build a boat from things around the house with their dad. Then this morning the dads all came to school for breakfast and they all tested their boats to see if they were "sea-worthy." All ties in with learning about Christopher Columbus. Which Molly re-taught me the other morning as I had forgotten some details. Such a smart cookie!

Here are some pics of Molly and Daddy starting their boat work and then from this morning. Molly's boat was an egg carton. She then painted a marshmallow for each classmate and put them in the "boat". Very cute-- and it didn't sink!! Yay!

Lots of Candles!

Happy Happy Birthday to Geoffrey!
He is 33 years old today--that's a lot of candles. It took the girls at least a few minutes to get all of those candles in there.

Here is Daddy raising the roof with his new Aggie Snuggie!!

Hope you had a Fabulous Birthday!

Dallas Game Weekend!

The Ags played Arkansas in Dallas this last weekend. Geoff and I had a fun weekend staying in a hotel, shopping, eating, -- all without the kiddos. My parents were nice enough to watch the girls for us. Saturday (game day) we met my college girlfriends and their husbands for lunch before the game. Then Ashley, Preston, Geoff and I headed to JerryWorld aka Cowboy Stadium. Nathan, Geoff's friend came with us as well.

My cousin's husband's brother (did you get that straight?) has a Cowboys Season Suite and hooked us up in a suite for the game. What a fun experience!

Eating at Pappadeaux before the game!

That's a big screen!

Ashley and I enjoying the game despite the fact we were losing!

Preston, Nate and Geoff living the "Suite" life.

BETTER LUCK NEXT YEAR AGS!!
